Booking and Appointments

Appointments can be booked through our online booking system (Cliniko) or by contacting us directly.

  • All appointments must be confirmed at the time of booking 
  • You are responsible for ensuring your contact details are accurate 
  • Please arrive on time for your appointment to receive the full treatment session 
  • Late arrival may result in a shortened session without a fee reduction 

We reserve the right to reschedule or cancel appointments where necessary. If we need to do so, we will provide as much notice as reasonably possible.

Cancellation and No-Show Policy

We require at least 24 hours’ notice if you need to cancel or reschedule an appointment.

  • Cancellations made with less than 24 hours’ notice may incur a cancellation fee 
  • Failure to attend your appointment without notice (no-show) may result in a full session fee being charged 
  • Outstanding cancellation or no-show fees must be paid before future appointments can be booked 

Cancellation fees may be collected at your next appointment or invoiced directly.

Fees and Payment

Payment is required at the time of your appointment.

We accept the following payment methods:

  • In-clinic card payments 
  • Cash 
  • All fees are quoted in Australian dollars (AUD) 
  • If payment is not made at the time of service, we reserve the right to issue an invoice 
  • Outstanding invoices must be settled within a reasonable timeframe 

We reserve the right to refuse future appointments where accounts remain unpaid.

Consent to Treatment

Your informed consent is required before any treatment is provided.

This means:

  • You will be given clear information about the proposed treatment 
  • The expected benefits, risks, and any alternatives will be explained 
  • You will have the opportunity to ask questions 

By proceeding with treatment, you confirm that you understand and agree to the proposed care.

You may withdraw your consent at any time, including during a treatment session.

Patient Responsibilities

  • To ensure safe and effective care, you agree to:

    • Inform us of any changes to your health, medications, or symptoms 
    • Follow any advice or home care recommendations provided 
    • Raise any concerns or discomfort during treatment promptly 

    Failure to provide accurate information may affect the safety and effectiveness of your treatment.

Minors and Under-18 Patients

We provide services to patients under the age of 18.

  • A parent or legal guardian must provide consent for treatment 
  • A parent or guardian must attend the appointment with the minor unless otherwise agreed 
  • Consent will be documented as part of the clinical record 

We take appropriate steps to ensure the safety and wellbeing of all minor patients.

Limitation of Liability and Clinical Disclaimer

We take all reasonable care in providing our services; however, all healthcare treatments, including Bowen Therapy, carry some inherent risks.

  • These risks will be explained to you as part of the consent process 
  • You acknowledge that outcomes may vary and results are not guaranteed 

To the fullest extent permitted by law:

  • We are not liable for any loss, damage, or injury arising from your use of our services, except where required under the Australian Consumer Law (ACL) 
  • Nothing in these Terms excludes your rights under the ACL, including consumer guarantees that cannot be excluded 

Our services are not intended to replace:

  • Emergency medical care 
  • Diagnosis or treatment by a medical doctor 

If you have a medical emergency, you should seek immediate medical attention.

As a Bowen Therapy practitioner and member of the Bowen Association Australia (Membership No. 10599), we adhere to recognised professional standards, codes of conduct, and ethical guidelines for complementary healthcare practice in Australia.

Complaints Procedure

We are committed to providing high-quality care and take complaints seriously.
